Elvis left the building

We grew up, we grew old

The song ground to an

Almighty halt

We scrawled our names

On the wall, we were

Young and naive and

Believed in

An eternity which we

Were later to find

Never even really

Existed

But when time

Moves on, memories

They still live on

And on

And on, and so

I still smile

Through the

Grit, at the

Wall

We scrawled our

Names on, I still

Play our song

On repeat

And I kick off

My shoes and

Dance like we

Used to

Like Elvis had

Never really

Left the

Building
